A different kind of trail database

Built around the pilgrimage, not just the path.

A pilgrimage route is more than mileage and elevation. This architecture connects geography with tradition, custodianship, credentials, completion recognition, accommodation, access requirements and practical journey planning.

What is public today?

All 250 stable route entities are searchable. Existing GSG guides link directly to their live pages. Expansion records are clearly marked for research until factual route details and official sources are verified.

Database standards

Research first. Respect always.

Traditions stay distinct.

Specific religious and cultural traditions are preserved rather than flattened into generic spirituality.

Access must be current.

Sacred-site restrictions, permits, closures, dress expectations and local customs require verification.

One route, one entity.

Routes may surface in both Hiking and Pilgrimage while retaining one canonical factual identity.
